Greek Festival
My coworkers and I went to the Greek Festival this weekend. All of the women seemed to have a great time. The food was wonderful. My friend, Lynne, has a little boy who discovered he LOVES gyros! He even stuck a little piece under his leg to save for later. He was very excited when he found it! We got to hear a little bit of the choir that performed at my grandparents' Greek Orthodox church in Lexington. The program listed all the places they had performed. It was neat to have a little connection. The Cathedral is amazing. It is shaped like a dome and has the most beautiful paintings on the ceiling. I put church's website link on my "websites" list, but there are no pictures of the inside of the Cathedral. It was a lot of fun and neat to share my heritage with my coworkers and friends.

We'll try this again! How was the food at the Greek Festival? If you get pictures of the cathedral I know Papa John would love to see them. He was in Denver many years ago for the Clergy/Laity Conference. Actually he was talking to a lady just last night about that event. She lives in Utah and John and her husband were good friends and members of the Archdioscene Council.
I'm glad you were able to go to the festival. Maybe when we come out in August we can find a good Greek restaurant. Talk to you soon.
Love,
Mom
